ANGELA SIRRS - FUSED GLASS ARTIST
Angela Sirrs creates wearable art, landscapes and home decor items in glass.
Each one-of-a-kind glass piece is designed using multiple layers of transparent and opaque glass to create a collage. Each collage is then fired in a kiln several times.
Angela has developed her design skills through studies in drawing, painting and collage at Dundas Valley School of Art.
Although much of her skill with glass work has developed through experimentation, she has gained skill in cutting, assembling and firing different types of glass through course work at AAE Glass Studio in Florida.
Working with glass has provided Angela with an opportunity to learn and experiment through play – an extension of her years of teaching kindergarten.
