Lena has been creating all her life in a wide range of mediums. Having come from a family of blacksmiths and auto body designers, working with metal comes naturally to her. Her mother’s love of copper has carried on; thus, Lena finds working with copper is second nature. After taking a course through Niagara College in metal working, there was no turning back.
Lena’s work consists of one of a kind jewellery largely in copper, most with a ‘Norse’ flair inherited from her Danish lineage. In addition, other metals and natural materials such as driftwood and stones are incorporated, making organic, wearable art. Lena loves to experiment with patinas, creating beautiful and original finishes.
Her collection includes but is not limited to bracelets, earrings, necklaces, penannular pins and rings and more recently, copper wall art.
